Are you currently operating?
Given the extensive travel restrictions now in place across the world, as well as our duty of care to employees, AirPortr is not currently operating services during this period of disruption.
Given the short-term uncertainty around travel restrictions, we're currently accepting bookings for flights from 15th March 2021. Should the travel landscape improve before then, this date may be brought forward.
If my travel plans change or are cancelled due to COVID, can I get a refund?
Yes, you can cancel or amend your booking for free up to three hours before your collection.
If you cancel your booking, you'll receive a full refund within 5 working days.
When can you pick up my bags?
You pick your slot, and most customers choose the evening before or morning of their flight. Our drivers operate from 6am to 10pm 7 days a week and we offer 1-hour or 3-hour pickup slots.
As we need you to be checked-in online with your airline when we collect your bags, your slot choice will be limited with this in mind.
What happens on the day?
Before your timeslot, we'll send you a link to track your driver's ETA. When we arrive, we check all passengers are present with their passports and boarding passes, seal up your bags and take them off your hands.
Our driver will hand you their device and you will confirm details such as your flight details and that you have no Dangerous Goods.
From this point on, your bags are considered fit for air travel, so you can enjoy a stress-free trip to and through the airport.
Do you cover my region?
We currently only operate in the UK.
Use our postcode checker to see whether we cover your area.
Can I check in buggies, skis, bikes, large items, etc...?
We'll take anything, from suitcases to prams, golf clubs to bike boxes. Just make sure you are within your airline luggage allowance.
With certain airlines (i.e. BA), you get additional free allowance for car seats / etc, and this will be honoured by the airlines.
Items which the driver deems to be over 32kg or not fit for travel (i.e. loose contents) may not be accepted for collection, and this is at the driver's discretion.
How many bags can I take?
We'll take as many bags as you'd like, but make sure you are within your airline allowances (number of items, weight and dimensions) so we can check-in the bags for you.
Items which the driver deems to be over 32kg or not fit for travel (i.e. loose contents) may not be accepted for collection, and this is at the driver's discretion.
What happens if I have a stopover?
We check-in your bags to your final destination on your airline ticket, but in some countries (including the USA and South Africa), you need to self transfer your bag through customs onto your domestic flight.
For instance, if you travel to Chicago via JFK, you must pick-up your bags on the carousel in JFK and put them on the domestic carousel to Chicago.
Do you offer a return service from the airport to my home?
Not at the moment.
But we're hard at work developing a new, industry-leading product for arriving passengers.
